Hi everybody, You may remember from my Instagram @anita.mua that a few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending the @thequaytobeauty, The Body Shop, West Quay's Bloggers event. I was introduced to an array of products, some of which I am going to tell you about in this blog and others you will have to check out for yourself! We started out with some drinks and nibbles, a tasty spread put on by the staff before the lovely Giorgio introduced us to the products which included beautiful skin care as well as my favourite, Makeup!! Naturally I am always attracted to makeup first so of course, I checked out their new range of foundations which were absolutely beautiful. Their Fresh Nude Foundation comes in 16 shades, they describe it as a medium coverage, semi - matte fresh faced finish and is an absolute steal for £16. For everyday wear this is a beautiful foundation giving you that sheer and effortless glow., it is infused with Rose Water and Aloe Vera so as well as being healthy for your skin it also has SPF15 to protect it. I am also a big time lipstick junkie, I unnecessarily own way too many but I adore lipstick, matte ones especially. I picked a matte red lipstick called Havana Red. It is nourishing and long lasting, enriched with Community Trade Brazil nut oil and beeswax, it is also 100% vegetarian! The best thing about this lipstick, it is only £8! Talk about a bargain! I have to say that skin care is not normally 'my thing' but I do now have a new favourite! I love coconut scents and I got to try the Exfoliating Cream Body Scrub, it is Community Trade cold -pressed virgin coconut oil from Samoa, Polynesia. It has a sweet, light coconut scent and will leave your skin feeling so smooth! At £15 it is definitely worth the investment. To end the night we were given a lovely goody bag of products to try which included Ginger Shampoo (which I have heard amazing things about so I am most excited to try this), Almond Milk & Honey Shower Cream (which smells A. M. A. Z. I. N. G.), Almond Milk & Honey Hand Cream and Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask. My favourite part of the evening was meeting some new blogger friends and finding an amazing lipstick (sorry if that sounds lame!).
The store smells sweet and fruity, if you enjoy igniting your senses then you should make a trip down to the store to check out all the other amazing products on offer. FYI I did not receive payment to write this post, I just really like the Body Shop! Let me know what your favourite Body Shop products are! All my love Anita xo Anita Makeup Artist & Hairstylist
